Albert-Riverview is a provinces and territories of Canada, provincial electoral district (Canada), electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. It was created as Albert in New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 1973, 1973 when New Brunswick moved to FPTP, single member districts and the former Plurality-at-large voting, multi-member riding of Albert (1846-1973 electoral district), Albert was split into this riding and the new riding of Riverview (electoral district), Riverview. The boundaries were expanded slightly in the New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 1994, 1994 redistribution, taking in a small part of Riverview and again in New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 2006, 2006 when it took in another small part of the town of Riverview. In the New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 2013, 2013 redistribution it added more of Riverview again, as well as the Salisbury, New Brunswick, Village of Salisbury. New Brunswick Electoral Redistribution, 1973
The 1973 New Brunswick electoral redistribution was the most radical redistricting, redistribution of electoral districts in the history of New Brunswick, Canada. Under this redistribution, New Brunswick changed from a mixture of multi-member districts and single-member districts to a scheme of only single-member districts, from Plurality-at-large voting, bloc voting electoral system to first past the post. As the number of members per district had been re-evaluated as recently as New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 1967, 1967, the number of members was not changed, and multi-member districts were simply subdivided to form single-member districts. Prior to the redistribution, New Brunswick had had the longest and deepest experience of multi-member districts of any province in Canada. The 2013 New Brunswick electoral redistribution was undertaken through the process set out in the ''Electoral Boundaries and Representation Act'' of New Brunswick, Canada.
