Akure
Akure is a city in south-western Nigeria. It is the Capital city, capital and largest city of Ondo State. The city had a population of 403,000 as of the 2006 population census. Its current population is estimated at 774,000. A millennium City History Pre-1914 Rock engravings prior to the Mesolithic period, have been discovered on the outskirts of Akure. Also the oldest ''Homo sapiens'' fossil ever found in West Africa thus far was discovered there, dating back to around 11,000 years ago. Ondo State

Adebiyi Adegboye Adesida Afunbiowo II (5 September 1950 – 30 November 2013) was a Nigerian monarch who was chosen as the traditional ruler, or Deji, of the Akure Kingdom, based in the city of Akure in Ondo State, Nigeria on 13 August 2010. State governor Olusegun Mimiko presented him with the staff of office. History Oba Afunbiowo II was born on 5 September 1950 as the son of Omoba Josiah Stanley Adegboye Adesida, a prince of Akure, and grandson of Oba Adesida I of Akure. His older brother was Omoba Adewole Adesida, of the Ojijigogun Ruling House. His father died tragically in 1955, which affected the Adesida House, as he was the supposed successor of his father who had ruled for 60 years, and was one of the first Akure natives to graduate from University. Ekiti People
The Ekiti State, Ekiti people are one of the largest historical subgroups of the larger Yoruba people of West Africa, located in Nigeria. They are classified as a Central Yoruba group, alongside the Ijesha, Igbomina, Yagba West, Yagba and Ifes. Ekiti State is populated exclusively by Ekiti people; however, it is but a segment of the historic territorial domain of Ekiti-speaking groups, which historically included towns in Ondo State such as Akure (the current capital and largest city of Ondo State), Ilara-Mokin, Ijare, and Igbara-oke. Oba (ruler)
''Oba'' ('King' in the Yoruba language) is a pre-nominal honorific for kings in Yorubaland. Traditional rulers with dynasties of Yoruba origin, across the modern republics of Benin, Nigeria, and Togo, frequently make use of it.
