Khamgaon (Vidhan Sabha Constituency)
Khamgaon (Legislative Assembly constituency) is one of the 288 constituencies of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and one of the seven which are located in the Buldhana district. It is a part of the Buldhana (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other Vidhan Sabha(assembly) constituencies, viz. Buldhana, Chikhali, Sindkhed Raja, Mehkar and Jalgaon(Jamod). The seventh Malkapur Assembly constituency from the Buldhana district is a part of the Raver (Lok Sabha constituency) from neighbouring Jalgaon district. As of 2008, the extent of the constituency comprised the entire Khamgaon taluka and part of the Shegaon taluka with the Jalamb, Pahurjira and Matargaon revenue circles. Khamgaon
Khamgaon is a city in Buldhana District, Maharashtra, India. It is the largest city in Buldhana district. It is well connected to all other big cities of Maharashtra and India through National Highway 6 and other state highways. Khamgaon Terminal has a single platform which goes to Jalamb junction only. The city needs express connectivity, so Indian Railways has decided to give halt to some express trains at Jalamb Junction so people can travel accordingly. The city has a big market as well. The city imports and exports many goods. Freight trains depart from and arrive in the city daily. Khamgaon is known for being one of the hottest cities in Maharashtra with temperature often hitting 47–48 degrees Celsius during summer. Pandurang Pundalik Fundkar (21 August 1950 – 31 May 2018), alias Bhausaheb Fundkar, was leader of opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council in India. He was a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies.
