Air21 Express (2012–2014)
The Air21 Express was a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) that debuted in the 2011–12 PBA season, 2011–12 season. The team debuted as the Shopinas.com Clickers during the 2011–12 PBA Philippine Cup. In 2014, the franchise was sold to Manila North Tollways Corporation (a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation) and was renamed as the NLEX Road Warriors. History Energy Food and Drink Inc., owner of the original Barako Bull Energy Boosters franchise, had informed the PBA board in March 2011 that they intend to fold, citing the plan to shift their business strategy due to its ongoing lawsuit against TC Pharmaceuticals Industries Co. (manufacturer of Red Bull in Thailand) and the death of board governor Tony Chua at the height of Typhoon Ketsana, Tropical Storm Ondoy (Ketsana). Alberto Lina
Alberto David Lina (April 23, 1948 – February 25, 2025) was a Filipino businessman and government official who served as Commissioner of Bureau of Customs. He first served as commissioner from February 4, to July 8, 2005, and again in April 23, 2015 to June 30, 2016. He was also the founder and owner of Airfreight 2100 (owner of courier service Air21). Early life Lina was the second of 12 children to former 2Lt. Jose S. Lina (also a teacher and former Pacific War, World War II veteran), and Dionisia David. Lina's brother is former Senate of the Philippines, Senator Joey Lina, Joey Lina Jr. Business career Lina worked as a professional for many years for a multinational company who has business in freight forwarding. He worked for the company until June 21, 1979, as his contract wasn't renewed by the board of directors.
