Aguililla, Michoacán
Aguililla is a city in the Mexico, Mexican List of states of Mexico, state of Michoacán. It is the municipal seat for the Aguililla (municipality), surrounding municipality of the same name. The municipality has a population of roughly 15,000. Starting in late 2019, Aguililla has been the center of a conflict between two of the most notorious drug cartels in the country—Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and La Resistencia (gang), Cárteles Unidos. Abigael González Valencia
Abigael González Valencia (; born October 18, 1972), commonly referred to by his alias El Cuini (), is a Mexican suspected drug lord and former leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group based in Jalisco. He was also the head of Los Cuinis, an organization allied to the CJNG. Along with his brother-in-law Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (alias "El Mencho"), one of Mexico's most-wanted men, González Valencia reportedly coordinated international drug trafficking operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He was also responsible for managing the financial operations of the CJNG and Los Cuinis. He worked for the Milenio Cartel in the 1990s, and eventually formed part of the original group that founded the CJNG and Los Cuinis in the 2010s. Antonio Oseguera Cervantes
Antonio Oseguera Cervantes (; born 20 August 1958) is a Mexican suspected drug lord and former high-ranking leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group based in Jalisco. His brother is Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (alias "El Mencho"), the leader of the CJNG and one of Mexico's most-wanted drug lords. In Mexico, he was formally charged in 2015 for drug trafficking and being in possession of military-exclusive firearms. On 3 December 2015, Oseguera Cervantes was arrested while driving in Tlajomulco, Jalisco. He was imprisoned at the Federal Social Readaptation Center No. 11, a maximum-security prison in Sonora. Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes (; born 17 July 1966), commonly referred to by his alias El Mencho (), is a Mexican drug lord and top leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), an organized crime group based in Jalisco. Rosalinda González Valencia (; born 1963) is a Mexican businesswoman and suspected money launderer of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group based in Jalisco. She also been known by her alias "La Jefa" (The Boss). She was married to Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes ("El Mencho"), Mexico's most-wanted man and the CJNG leader until 2018. Born in rural Michoacán, Rosalinda grew up in a family of 18 siblings and was the eldest of her sisters. Elvis González Valencia (; born 12 October 1980 or 18 March 1979), commonly referred to by his alias El Elvis (), is a Mexican suspected drug lord and high-ranking leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and Los Cuinis, two allied criminal groups based in Jalisco. CJNG
The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (, ), or CJNG, is a Mexican criminal syndicate, based in Jalisco and headed by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes ("El Mencho"). The cartel has been characterized by extreme violence and public relations campaigns. Though the CJNG is known for diversifying into various criminal rackets, drug trafficking (primarily cocaine and methamphetamine) remains its most profitable activity.
