Agnar Johannes Barth
Agnar Johannes Barth (26 August 1871 – 4 May 1948) was a Norwegian forester. He was born in Lillehammer as the son of Jacob Bøckmann Barth. Carl G. Barth was his brother. Described as his "country's leading authority on forestry for many years", he was a professor at the Norwegian College of Agriculture from 1921, and served as rector (roughly, the president) there from 1928 to 1933. Barth was a reserve officer in the Norwegian Army, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1891. Agnar Mykle
Agnar Mykle (8 August 1915 – 15 January 1994) was a Norwegian author. He became one of the most controversial figures in Norwegian literature in the 20th century. Early life Born in Norway's third largest city, Trondheim, Mykle was often sick as a child. His sickness forced him to stay indoors for most of his childhood. Mykle received a business education from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen where he excelled in his studies. He had attended mercantile high school in Trondheim (Handelsgymnasiet) from which he graduated in 1935. Soon after, he was offered a job as an assistant at his old school. After working diligently, he was offered a job as a principal at a similar school in Kirkenes. Literary career In the 1940s Mykle was active as journalist and writer in the Norwegian labour movement. Agnar Sandmo (9 January 1938 – 31 August 2019) was a Norwegian economist at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He made a series of important contributions in the study of disparities, redistribution, insurance arrangements and tax systems. He has written and published many economic articles throughout his career. From 1976 to 1980, he was a member of the Petroleum Price Board of the Swedish Government's Economic Commission and, from 1996 to 1997, of the Government Committee on Priorities in Health Care. He served as chairman of the Government Expert Committee on Investment Policies of the Petroleum Fund in 2004. Agnarr Geirröðsson
Agnarr (Old Norse: ) is the son of King Gerriod, son of Hraudung in Norse mythology. He was named after his uncle Agnarr, who was betrayed by Gerriod and sent to die on the high seas. Agnarr is solely attested in the poem '' Grímnismál'' in the ''Poetic Edda'', the latter compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources.
