Aglaé Auguié (24 March 1782 – 2 July 1854), was a French court official and wife of the senior army commander Marshal of the Empire Ney. Early life Aglaé was born in Paris on 24 March 1782. She was a daughter of Pierre César Auguié (1738–1815) and Adélaïde Henriette Genet (1758–1794). Her aunt was Henriette Campan and uncle was Citizen Genêt. Court She served as lady-in-waiting ( Dame du Palais) to Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais in 1804–1810, and to Empress Marie Louise in 1810-1813. Charlotte Aglaé d'Orléans (22 October 1700 – 19 January 1761) was Duchess of Modena and Reggio by marriage to Francesco III d'Este. She was the third daughter of Philippe II, Duke of Orléans and his wife, Françoise-Marie de Bourbon. Apollonie Sabatier (born Aglaé Joséphine Savatier; 8 April 1822 – 3 January 1890) was a French entertainer, artist's model and courtesan, who became a salon hostess and bohemian muse to many of the French artists of 1850s Paris. Biography Aglaé Joséphine Savatier was born in Mézières. Her mother was Marguerite Martin who worked as a laundress for Count Louis Harmand d'Abancourt, Aglaé's biological father. The count arranged after Aglaé's birth that army sergeant André Savatier, who was stationed near the village, become her stepfather. Martin and Savatier were married in Paris on 27 October 1825. The family moved to Paris, where Aglaé started singing at the Opéra Garnier after school.
