Agir, officially Agir, la droite constructive (; ), is a List of political parties in France, political party in France, established on 26 November 2017. The majority of its founding members were previously associated with the UDI and Independents group, Constructive faction within The Republicans (France), The Republicans. Styling itself as a "Liberalism, liberal, social, Pro-Europeanism, European, Humanism, humanist and Reformism, reformist" party, Agir was founded by a group of 19 established politicians as an alternative to The Republicans. Franck Alix Georges Riester (born 3 January 1974) is a French politician of Renaissance (French political party), Renaissance (RE). He has represented the Seine-et-Marne's 5th constituency, fifth constituency of Seine-et-Marne in the National Assembly (France), National Assembly since 2024, having previously held the seat from 2017 to 2018 and briefly in 2022. 2022 French Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in France on 10 and 24 April 2022. As no candidate won a majority in the first round, a Two-round system, runoff was held, in which Emmanuel Macron defeated Marine Le Pen and was re-elected as President of France. Macron, from La République En Marche! (LREM), had defeated Le Pen, leader of the National Rally, once already in the 2017 French presidential election, for the term which expired on 13 May 2022. Macron became the first president of France to win a re-election bid since Jacques Chirac won in 2002 French presidential election, 2002. Laurent Timothée Marie Wauquiez (; born 12 April 1975) is a French politician who has presided over the Regional Council of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes from 2016 to 2024. François Charles Amand Fillon (; born 4 March 1954) is a French retired politician who served as Prime Minister of France from 2007 to 2012 under President Nicolas Sarkozy. Fabienne Keller (born 20 October 1959 in Sélestat, Bas-Rhin) is a French politician who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. She was previously the mayor ( UDF) of Strasbourg, France, from March 2001 to March 2008. Agir Ensemble
The Agir Ensemble group (''"Act Together"'') was a parliamentary group of the French National Assembly in the 15th legislature of the Fifth Republic from 2020 to 2022. It was made up of deputies from Agir and the UDI and Independents group.
