Aegean Sea
The Aegean Sea is an elongated embayment of the Mediterranean Sea between Europe and Asia. It is located between the Balkans and Anatolia, and covers an area of some . In the north, the Aegean is connected to the Marmara Sea, which in turn connects to the Black Sea, by the straits of the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus, respectively. The Aegean Islands are located within the sea and some bound it on its southern periphery, including Crete and Rhodes. The sea reaches a maximum depth of 2,639 m (8,658 ft) to the west of Karpathos. The Thracian Sea and the Sea of Crete are main subdivisions of the Aegean Sea. Ege University
Ege University or Aegean University () is a public research university in Bornova, İzmir. It was founded in 1955 with the faculties of Medicine and Agriculture. It is the first university to start courses in İzmir and the fourth oldest university in Turkey. North Aegean
The North Aegean Region (, ) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece, and the smallest of the thirteen by population. It comprises the islands of the north-eastern Aegean Sea, called the North Aegean islands, except for Thasos and Samothrace, which belong to the Greek region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, and Imbros and Tenedos, which belong to Turkey. Administration The North Aegean region was established in the 1987 administrative reform. With the 2010 Kallikratis plan, its powers and authority were redefined and extended. Aegean Cat
Aegean cats ( ''gáta tou Aigaíou'') are a naturally occurring landrace of domestic cat originating from the Cycladic Islands of Greece and western Turkey. It is considered a natural cat, developing without human interference. Development of the Aegean cat as a formal breed began in the early 1990s by breeders in the fledgling Greek Animal fancy, cat fancy, but the variety has yet to be recognized by any major fancier and breeder organization. It is considered to be the only Indigenous (ecology), native Greek variety of cat. Stratigraphy is a branch of geology concerned with the study of rock layers (strata) and layering (stratification). It is primarily used in the study of sedimentary and layered volcanic rocks. Aegean Records
Aegean Records was an independent record label founded by George Michael and Andros Georgiou in 1996. The label was set up after Michael broke from Sony Music after his court case, which he eventually lost. Andros Georgiou became the managing director of the label. The artists either signed or previously signed to Aegean Records include: *George Michael; *Trigger; *Primitiva; *Joanna Bryant; *Bassey Walker; *Toby Bourke. Georgiou and Michael founded Aegean Net Ltd on 15 November 1996, which was the internet business of Aegean Records.
