Adâncata, Ialomița
Adâncata is a commune located in Ialomița County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Adâncata and Patru Frați. Geography The commune is situated in the Wallachian Plain, at an altitude of . It lies on the banks of the Prahova River and its left tributary, the Cricovul Sărat. The Prahova River flows into the Ialomița River at the southern edge of Patru Frați village. Adâncata is located in the western part of Ialomița County, bordering on Prahova County. It is from Urziceni and from the county seat, Slobozia. The national capital, Bucharest, is to the southwest, while the city of Ploiești is to the northwest. Slobozia
Slobozia () is the capital city of Ialomița County, Muntenia, Romania, with a population of 41,550 in 2021. Etymology Its name is from the Romanian "slobozie", which meant a recently colonized village which was free of taxation. The word itself comes from the Slavic word "slobod" which means "free". As it is located in the middle of flat land (Bărăgan Plain), it was very vulnerable to Tatar and Ottoman incursions. To encourage peasants to settle there, they were exempted from some taxes, hence the name. 1st Surface To Air Missiles Brigade (Romania)
The 1st Surface to Air Missiles Brigade "General Nicolae Dăscălescu" (), is the main air defense unit of the Romanian Air Force. Its headquarters are located in Chitila. The brigade was created on August 1, 1973, by merging the 18th and 19th Mixed Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiments. In 1995, it received the honorific name "General Nicolae Dăscălescu", after the first commander of the 1st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment and a new battle flag. The main task of the 1st SAM Brigade is Bucharest's air defense. The brigade's area of responsibility covers six counties. The unit currently operates MIM-23 Hawk missiles. Bărăgan Plain
The Bărăgan Plain ( ) is a steppe plain in south-eastern Romania. It makes up much of the eastern part of the Wallachian Plain. The region is known for its black soil and a rich humus, and is mostly a cereal-growing area. It is bounded on the south and east by the Danube, and in the North by the Buzău (river), Buzău and Călmățui (Brăila), Călmățui rivers, both tributaries of the Danube. The western limit is a line joining the cities of Buzău, Urziceni, Budești, and Oltenița. Mihai Ivăncescu (22 March 1942 – 1 February 2004) was a Romanian footballer who played as a right back for two Brașov teams, Steagul and Tractorul. Club career Mihai Ivăncescu was born on 22 March 1942 in Adâncata, Romania. He started to play football at junior level in 1956, aged 14 at Steagul Roșu Brașov. He made his Divizia A debut, playing for Steagul on 24 September 1961 under coach Silviu Ploeșteanu in a 2–1 home victory against Dinamo București. After one season and a half he went to play at neighboring Brașov team, Tractorul in Divizia B.
