Adrian Wright
Adrian Wright (1 July 1947 – 28 November 2015) was English Australian actor remembered for his roles in the 1970s children's television series '' Freewheelers'' and the Australian serial ''Prisoner'' in which he played male nurse Neil Murray, after playing an off-duty policeman in episode 10. Personal life and career Born in Maidenhead, England, he was the son of Matvin Wright, a painter and first appeared as an actor in repertory theatres in England and Wales. He subsequently moved to Australia where he continued his career. His most prominent role is probably that of Neil Murray in ''Prisoner''. He was married to Australian actress and singer Abigail, he died in 2015. Abigail Rogan (known mononymously as Abigail; born 23 July 1946) is an English-born retired actress particularly of television soap operas and film and was also briefly a vocalist. ''Body Melt'' is a 1993 Australian independent satirical science fiction biopunk and black comedy body horror fantasy film directed by Philip Brophy and written by Brophy and Rod Bishop. Brophy and Bishop are ex-members of the art punk group → ↑ →. The pair also composed the film's soundtrack. Plot The film is about the residents of Pebbles Court in the Melbourne suburb of Homesville who are the unknowing test subjects for a new variety of "Vimuville" dietary supplement pills that arrive for free in their mailboxes. The pills are designed to produce the ultimate healthy human, but have unexpected side effects including hallucinations and mutations. The Lighthorsemen (film)
''The Lighthorsemen'' is a 1987 Australian war film about the men of a World War I light horse unit involved in Sinai and Palestine campaign's 1917 Battle of Beersheeba. The film is based on a true story and most of the characters in the film were based on real people. ( Elyne Mitchell wrote the novelization based on the screenplay.) It follows in the wake of other Australian New Wave war films such as ''Breaker Morant'' (1980), ''Gallipoli'' (1981), and the 5-part TV series ''Anzacs'' (1985). Recurring themes of these films include the Australian identity, such as mateship and larrikinism, the loss of innocence in war, and also the continued coming of age of the Australian nation and its soldiers (the ANZAC spirit). ''Freewheelers'' is a British television series made by Southern Television between 1968 and 1973 for the ITV network. It was created by the television producer Chris McMaster, who was aware of the popularity of adult action series such as '' The Avengers'' and '' Department S'' amongst teenagers and saw the potential of a version aimed at a younger audience.
