Adolf Ehrnrooth
Adolf Erik Ehrnrooth (9 February 1905 – 26 February 2004) was a Finnish general who served during the Winter War, Winter and Continuation War, Continuation wars. He also competed in Equestrian at the 1948 Summer Olympics, two equestrian events at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Early life Born in Helsinki, Ehrnrooth first went to Svenska normallyceum i Helsingfors and then entered cadet school in 1922 and served in the Uusimaa Brigade, Uusimaa Dragoon Regiment (''Uudenmaan Rakuunarykmentti''). In 1958 he married a Danish countess Karin-Birgitte Schack who was a lady-in-waiting and a close friend of Ingrid of Sweden, Queen Ingrid of Denmark. They had three children: Karin, Hans and Eva. The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) (; ) are the military of Finland. The Finnish Defence Forces consist of the Finnish Army, the Finnish Navy, and the Finnish Air Force. ProKarelia
ProKarelia is a Finnish marginal irredentist group that works for the return to Finland of Finnish Karelia, Petsamo, Salla and some islands in Gulf of Finland ceded to the Soviet Union in past treaties in Moscow and Paris (See Karelian question in Finnish politics). As a preliminary goal the group hopes to overturn the articles of the Paris Peace Treaty of 1947 and remove Finnish responsibility in starting the Continuation War. ProKarelia strives to make the Karelian question better known. According to the organization itself, ProKarelia's ideas do not include aggressive actions, nor do the association participate in demonstrations. This however conflates with their statements and remarks about the local Russian population and their plans to remove the local Russian population.
