Abid Ghazi
Abid Hussain Ghazi (; 1934 – 14 January 2016) was a Pakistani footballer who played as a midfielder. He is considered one of the greatest Pakistani footballers of the 1950s and 1960s, and also captained the Pakistan national football team. Early life Ghazi hailed from Lyari locality of Karachi in British India. He belonged to the ''Makrani Baloch'' community (also known as Sheedi) of Sudanese descent. Club career Ghazi started playing football with Karachi club Keamari Mohammedan in 1952 alongside his brother Moosa Ghazi. He then represented Karachi Division in 1954 at the National Football Championship. He also toured India with Karachi Kickers the next year. Moosa Ghazi (; 1937 – 12 May 2003) was a Pakistani Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), left winger. Ghazi represented the Pakistan national football team in the 1950s to 1960s, and was member of the national squad which finished finalists at the 1962 Merdeka Tournament. Considered as one of the earliest legends in Pakistan football history, he was renowned for his performances at the wing and goalscoring abilities. The East Pakistan football team () was a provincial team operated by the East Pakistan Sports Federation (EPSF) and represented East Pakistan in national and international matches from 1948 till the Independence of Bangladesh in 1971, which led to the eventual formation of the Bangladesh national football team. The team participated in the National Football Championship (Pakistan), National Football Championship from 1948 to 1960, becoming champions in their final year, after which the EPSF began sending divisional teams to the tournament. Karachi Kickers is a Pakistani football club based in Karachi. Karachi United competed in the Karachi Football League, one of the top leagues of Karachi. It last competed in the 2009–10 PFF League. The club was one of the most successful teams in the early football history of Pakistan, winning the Sait Nagjee Football Tournament in 1955 and 1956, and the Aga Khan Gold Cup in 1958.
