Abhijit () is a unique nakshatra and the 28th nakshatra in the Indian system of 28 nakshatras, out of which 27 are traditional nakshatras and this one is an intercalary nakshatra. It is a division in the constellation Capricornus, spanning from the fourth pada of Uttara Ashadha to the first pada of Shravana. Abhijit is the Sanskrit name for Vega, the brightest star in the northern constellation of Lyra. The name Abhijit means "the victorious one" in Sanskrit. Abhijith (born 30 July 1963) is an Indian actor, singer, producer and director working in Kannada films. Starting his career as an actor in the late 1980s, he went on to act in many films through the 1990s and 2000s. He mainly played lead roles and villains in the 1990s and some supporting roles as well. Career Abhijith started his career in the late 1980s playing small roles. Abhijeet Bhattacharya (born 30 October 1958), professionally known as Abhijeet, is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings in the Hindi film industry. As well as Hindi, he has sung in his native language Bengali and in other languages including Marathi, Nepali, Tamil, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, and Odia, in both West Bengal and Bangladesh. He has sung 6034 songs in more than 1000 films. Some of his iconic tracks feature in BBC's "Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of all time".
