Aaron Aban
Aaron Abril Galarrita Aban (born April 8, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Sta. Rosa Laguna Lions of the Pilipinas Super League. Born in Cagayan de Oro, he graduated his high school at Liceo de Cagayan University and went to Colegio de San Juan de Letran in college. He is a former player of the Letran Knights in the NCAA and the Toyota Otis-Letran Sparks in the Philippine Basketball League. He joined the team in 2002 but after a solid performance in the 2003 NCAA finals grew in success. He was drafted seventh overall by the Alaska Aces in the 2006 PBA draft. In 2008, he was signed by the Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants. During the offseason of 35th season, he was traded to Burger King Titans in exchange of Rey Evangelista. Before the start of the 2010 Fiesta Conference, he was signed by the Talk N' Text Tropang Texters as a free agent. 2019–20 ABL Season
The 2019–20 ABL season was the tenth season of competition in the ASEAN Basketball League. The regular season started on 16 November 2019 and was set to end on 28 March 2020. On 15 July 2020, the league announced the cancellation of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. No league title was awarded. The Philippine Basketball League (PBL) was a commercial semi-professional basketball league in the Philippines. The league was composed of several commercial teams with several collegiate and provincial stars. History The PBL was formed on May 6, 1983, a brainchild of San Miguel Corporation chairman Danding Cojuangco, under its original name the Philippine Amateur Basketball League (PABL). It was the successor of the defunct Manila Industrial and Commercial Athletic Association (MICAA), which folded during the early-1980s. The Letran Knights and Lady Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Colegio de San Juan de Letran (), also referred to by its acronym CSJL, is a private Catholic coeducational basic and higher education institution owned and run by the friars of the Order of Preachers in Intramuros, Manila, Philippines.
