Aadhavan
''Aadhavan'' () is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by K. S. Ravikumar, from a story written by Ramesh Khanna, and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under Red Giant Movies. The film stars Suriya, alongside Nayantara, Vadivelu, Murali, B. Saroja Devi, Rahul Dev, Sayaji Shinde and Anand Babu. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj, while cinematography and editing were handled by Ganesh Rajavelu and Don Max. ''Aadhavan'' was released on 17 October 2009 and became a commercially successful at the box office. The core plot was loosely based on the 1990 Malayalam film ''His Highness Abdullah'' and it was remade in Bengali as '' Shikari''. Udhayanidhi Stalin (born 27 November 1977) is an Indian politician, film producer and former actor who has been the 3rd and current deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu since 2024, serving under Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, his father M. Ramesh Khanna (also spelt as Ramesh Kanna) is an Indian actor and film director who has worked in Tamil cinema. He has acted in a number of supporting and comedian roles. Red Giant Movies is an Indian film production and film distribution company headed by Udhayanidhi Stalin. It has distributed nearly all major films in Tamil Nadu in the last few years, and is often accused of having a monopoly in Tamil cinema.
