Association Sportive Fabrègues is a football club located in Fabrègues, France. They play in the sixth tier of French football. The club's colours are red and yellow. History AS Fabrègues was founded in 1935. The first time the club reached the national level was in 2014; they had become champions of the Division d'Honneur in Languedoc-Roussillon in the 2013–14 season. They were subsequently promoted to the Championnat de France Amateur 2, now known as the Championnat National 3. After eight seasons at this level, they were relegated back to the Régional 1 in 2022, finishing bottom of their group. The Régional 1, formerly Division d'Honneur or Honneur Ligue is the common generic name for the highest level football league competitions run by each of the 13 Regional Leagues in France. Together, these league competitions serve as the sixth division of the French football league system, promoting clubs into the Championnat National 3, subject to certain criteria being met. The name is also given to the highest level football league competitions in the French overseas territories of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Mayotte and Réunion. 2021–22 Championnat National 3
The 2021–22 Championnat National 3 was the fifth season of the fifth tier in the French football league system in its current format. The competition is normally contested by 168 clubs split geographically across 12 groups of 14 teams, but this season had 169 clubs due to the administrative relegation of Gazélec Ajaccio. The teams included amateur clubs (although a few were semi-professional) and the reserve teams of professional clubs. The Championnat National 3, commonly referred to as simply National 3 and formerly known as Championnat de France Amateur 2, is a football league competition. The league serves as the fifth division of the French football league system behind Ligue 1, Ligue 2, Championnat National, and the Championnat National 2. Usually contested by 112 clubs, the Championnat National 3 operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Championnat National 2 and the regional leagues of the Division d'Honneur, the sixth division of French football.
