AS Douanes is a Senegalese professional football (soccer), football club based in Dakar. The current chairman as of 2016 is Alassane Ndione. Douanes also has the third most List of football clubs in Senegal by major honours won, number of major honours won in Senegal numbering 14. They won 6 championship and cup titles, a super cup and a league cup. The club plays at Stade Demba Diop, sometimes they play at Stade Alassane Djigo. History The club was founded in 1980. Not long after the foundation, as they were only three tiers at the time, the club went to Division 1 in 1984 and participated there. Their first championship title was won in 1993, their second was in 1997. Douanes won three consecutive championship titles in 2008, the latter two were won in the final phase. Association Sportive des Douanes, commonly known as AS Douanes, is a Senegalese basketball club from Dakar. Part of the Senegalese national customs agency, the team plays in the national top division Nationale 1 (Senegal), Nationale 1 (NM1) and in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). AS Douanes is the most decorated club in Senegalese basketball, having collected 35 trophies in its existence. The club has won a record 11 Nationale 1 (Senegal), NM1 championships, seven Senegalese Basketball Cup, Senegalese Cups, thirteen Mayor's Cups and five Saint Michel Cups. The most successful international performance of AS Douanes was in 2023, when they finished as runners-up of the 2023 BAL season. AS Douanes (''Association Sportive des Douanes de Niamey'', 'Niamey Customs Enforcement Sports Association') is a Nigerien football club based in Niamey and sponsored by the government taxation police. Prior to the 2005–6 season they played in the city of Tillabéry, and have competed in the top national league since the 2004 season, when they were promoted from the regional division 2. AS Douanes has won Nigerien league once but have never won cup championship.
