''A.R.O.G: A Prehistoric Film'' () is a 2008 Turkish science-fiction comedy film, directed by Cem Yılmaz and Ali Taner Baltacı, about a used carpet salesman who is sent back in time by an old interplanetary adversary out for revenge. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on , was the highest grossing Turkish films of 2008 and is one of the most expensive Turkish films ever made. It is a sequel to ''G.O.R.A.'' (2004) and was followed by the sequel ''Arif V 216'' (2018). Plot Arif settles back on Earth with Ceku after saving the planet G.O.R.A., G.O.R.A. However, his defeated archenemy Commander Logar has followed him and is intent on getting his revenge. Cem Yılmaz (, born 23 April 1973) is a Turkish actor, stand-up comedian, musician, filmmaker, screenwriter, and cartoonist. He has four franchise film series '' G.O.R.A.'', '' Karakomik Fimler'', '' Organize İşler'', '' Vizontele''. Also, He is best known for his films '' Yahşi Batı'', '' Hokkabaz'', ''İftarlık Gazoz'', '' Av Mevsimi'' and has won three Sadri Alışık awards and Yeşilçam award for his roles. His international films are Russell Crowe's film " Water Diviner" and Ferzan Özpetek's film " Magnifica presenza". Early life and education Yılmaz was born on 23 April 1973 in Istanbul. His family is paternally from Gürün, Sivas, while maternal part of his family is of Turkish origin who immigrated from Thessaloniki, Ottoman Empire (nowadays in Greece).
