AMAP (Belarus)
OMON (, , ) or AMAP (, ) is a riot police force under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Belarus), Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (MUS) that specialized in combat and patrolling in urban areas, counter-revolutionary, covert operation, crowd control and riot control when people or prisoners who are involved in a riot, unlawful demonstration or unlawful protest, high-risk law enforcement situations, HUMINT, and internal security. OMON is part of the MUS's Patrol Service, and is considered to be the republic's riot police. Water Cannon
A water cannon is a device that shoots a high-velocity stream of water. Typically, a water cannon can deliver a large volume of water, often over dozens of meters. They are used in firefighting, large vehicle washing, riot control, and mining. Most water cannons fall under the category of a fire monitor. Firefighting Water cannons were first devised for use on fireboats. Extinguishing fires on boats and buildings near the water was much more difficult and dangerous before fireboats were invented. The first fireboat deployed in Los Angeles was commissioned on 1 August 1919. The first fireboat in New York City was ''Marine 1'', deployed 1 February 1891. Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus (; ) is a paramilitary law enforcement force in the Republic of Belarus under the national Ministry of Internal Affairs. All personnel are trained in the Internal Troops Faculty of the Military Academy of Belarus. Alyaksandr Kazulin (, , born 25 November 1955 in Minsk) is the former leader of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party and one of the candidates who ran for the office of President of Belarus on 19 March 2006. He was a rector of the Belarusian State University (BSU) from 1996 to 2003 and a government minister serving under Belarus President Lukashenko but later fell out of favor. He holds a PhD in mathematics and pedagogy. Biography Kazulin was born on 25 November 1955 in Minsk. In 1972, he graduated from school No. 87 and entered the evening department of the Mathematics Department of Belarusian State University.
