AK Mladost Užice
Atletski Klub Mladost Užice (Serbian Cyrillic: Атлетски Клуб Младост Ужице) is an athletics club based in Užice. It is one of the most successful athletics clubs in Serbia, and is particularly known for producing long-distance running, long-distance runners. History In the club's recent history, the role of coach has been occupied by both Kuzmanović brothers Dragiša and Slavoljub, as well as Dragovan Ilić. Although the club trains on the rubber track at Užice City Stadium, the club has suffered from an almost nonexistent budget and has rarely afforded equipment necessary for some of its athletes. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet (, ), also known as the Serbian script, (, ), is a standardized variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language. It originated in medieval Serbia and was significantly reformed in the 19th century by the Serbian philologist and linguist Vuk Karadžić. Nikola Stamenić ( sr-Cyrl, Никола Стаменић; born 17 April 1949), also known as "the General", is a Serbian water polo coach widely considered one of the greatest coaches in water polo history. Under his guidance, Yugoslavia men's national water polo team won the gold medal in both the 1991 World Championship in Perth and the 1991 European Championship in Athens, becoming World and European Champions in the same year. Nemanja Cerovac (born November 16, 1991) is a Serbian middle-distance runner. He ran in the youth races at the European Cross Country Championships in 2010 and 2013. He has competed in various cross country distances, but specializes in the middle-distances, particularly in the 1500 meters. Running career Cerovac took up athletics for the first time at the age of 15. He subsequently began training with AK Mladost Užice from Užice in Serbia, which is over 1,300 feet above sea level. Sreten Ninković (Serbian Cyrillic: Сретен Нинковић; born 7 December 1972) is a Serbian former long-distance runner who most often competed in the marathon.
