Asociación Deportiva Cultural Juan Pablo II College, sometimes referred as Juan Pablo II or Juan Pablo II College, is a Peruvian professional football club, based in the city of Chongoyape. The club was founded in 2015 and is owned by FPF president, Agustín Lozano, who is being investigated for Illicit enrichment, which has brought controversy to the club about its high rise to the national stage. The club has been competing in the Peruvian Primera División since 2025. History Beginnings Being founded in 2015 on the initiative of the same Educational Institution (I. E. P. Juan Pablo II College), the academy began participating in the second division of the Chongoyape Districtal League, initially with the purpose of having the students of said institution be part of the sports academy, although later the hiring of players and athletes was allowed to achieve sporting excellence in the Copa Perú. Asociación Deportiva Comerciantes Fútbol Club commonly known as Comerciantes, is a Peruvian professional football club, playing in the city of Belén, Loreto. Founded in 2017, they currently participate in the Liga 2, after gaining promotion from the 2022 Copa Perú. History The Comerciantes FC was founded on 20 August 2017. Comerciantes would rise to be the new largest football club in the city of Iquitos and the whole department of Loreto, after the downfall of Colegio Nacional Iquitos. In 2018 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the Departamental Stage, but was eliminated by Estudiantil CNI and Caballococha in the Cuadrangular Final. The Peruvian Second Division (; known simply as ''Second Division'', and Liga 2 Caja Cusco for sponsorship reasons), officially known as Liga 2, is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system.
