Lloyd Robertson (born January 19, 1934) is a Canadian journalist and former news anchor who is special correspondent on CTV's weekly magazine series, '' W5''. Robertson served as the chief anchor and senior editor of CTV's national evening newscast, '' CTV News with Lloyd Robertson,'' from 1984 to 2011, when he retired from the ''CTV National News'' team. He co-hosted ''W5'' from 2011 to 2016. Pierre Francis de Marigny Berton, CC, O.Ont. (July 12, 1920 – November 30, 2004) was a Canadian historian, writer, journalist and broadcaster. Berton wrote 50 best-selling books, mainly about Canadiana, Canadian history and popular culture. He also wrote critiques of mainstream religion, anthologies, children's books and historical works for youth. He was a reporter and war correspondent, an editor at '' Maclean's Magazine'' and ''The Toronto Star'' and, for 39 years, a guest on Front Page Challenge. He was a founder of the Writers' Trust of Canada, and won many honours and awards. The ''Barrie Examiner'' was a daily newspaper published in Barrie, Ontario from 1864 to 2017. History The ''Examiner'' was founded in 1864. Publisher William Manley Nicholson launched the paper as an alternate to the ''Northern Advance'', which already had a strong political voice in the community of over 3,500 people. In the years since then, the ''Examiner'' has changed ownership and location several times. In 1889, Nicholson sold the newspaper to Andrew F. The Bijou Awards were a Canadian award for non-feature films, launched in 1981 but presented only once before being discontinued. Daniel Edward Aykroyd ( ; born July 1, 1952) is a Canadian actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. Aykroyd was a writer and an original member of the "Not Ready for Prime Time Players" cast on the NBC sketch comedy series ''Saturday Night Live'' from its inception in 1975 until his departure in 1979.
