ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium
ACAVDCA Cricket Stadium (stands for Andhra Cricket Association–Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association Cricket Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is primarily used for international cricket matches. The stadium has two-tiers and was designed to avoid any restricted views, eliminating pillars or columns which come in the field of view of spectators. The pitch is known to be batsman-friendly. Ground profile The pitch assists spinners and the ball does not bounce much and hence, batting second is not always beneficial, though dew factor sometimes plays a significant role. In recent matches, pitch has been a batting heaven. The highest ODI Score here is 387 by India against West Indies, 2019. History The stadium was established as ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in 2003. The Andhra Premier League is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament played in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is organized by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) and sanctioned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Rising Pune Supergiant (often abbreviated as RPS) was a franchise cricket team based in Pune, Maharashtra, that played in the Indian Premier League in 2016 and as a finalist in 2017. It was the second team representing Pune after Pune Warriors India.
