Agent 86
''Get Smart'' is an American comedy television series parodying the secret agent genre that had become widely popular in the first half of the 1960s with the release of the ''James Bond'' films. It was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, and had its television premiere on NBC on September 18, 1965. It starred Don Adams (who was also a director on the series) as agent Maxwell Smart (Agent 86), Barbara Feldon as Agent 99, and Edward Platt as The Chief. Henry said that they created the show at the request of Daniel Melnick to capitalize on James Bond and Inspector Clouseau, "the two biggest things in the entertainment world today". Brooks described it as "an insane combination of James Bond and Mel Brooks comedy". The show generated a number of popular catchphrases during its run, including "sorry about that, Chief", "...and ''loving'' it", "missed it by ''that much''", and "would you believe...". The show was followed by the films '' The Nude Bomb'' (a 1980 theatrical f ...

86 (MBTA Bus)
Route 86 is a local bus route in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cambridge operated by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) as part of MBTA bus service. It operates between Reservoir station (MBTA), Reservoir station and Harvard station, via Allston, Lower Allston and Brighton, Boston, Brighton Center. In 2018, it had the 18th-highest weekday ridership on the system, though it ranked 37th by number of weekday trips. A 2018–19 MBTA review of its bus system found that route 86 had infrequent and unreliable service, including irregular scheduled headways, despite its high ridership and significance as a crosstown connecting route. Transit service on portions of the modern route date back to horsecar lines opened in the 19th century, several of which were converted to electric streetcars in the 1890s. Three overlapping bus routes (later designated 63, 86, and ) were established between 1925 and 1931, replacing circumferential streetcar services and creating n ...

''Chump Change'', ''Mooch'', ''86'd'' and ''Spitting Off Tall Buildings'' comprise a tetralogy about Fante's hard living alter-ego Bruno Dante. ''Chump Change'' found publication in France originally, before being published in the US by Sun Dog Press. All four of the books were eventually republished in America by Harper Perennial and by United Kingdom publisher Canongate. Insomniac (Green Day Album)
''Insomniac'' is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Green Day, released on October 10, 1995, by Reprise Records. It was recorded at Hyde Street in San Francisco, and the band prioritized high-energy takes during the recording sessions. Released as the follow-up to the band's multi-platinum breakthrough '' Dookie'', ''Insomniac'' featured a heavier sound, with bleaker lyrics than its predecessor. Lyrically, the album discusses themes such as alienation, anxiety, boredom, and drug use. ''Insomniac'' also served as a reaction to many early fans who had turned their backs on the band after it achieved mainstream success with ''Dookie''. The album received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the singer Billie Joe Armstrong's songwriting and sarcastic sense of humor. Three songs were released as singles, " Geek Stink Breath", " Stuck with Me", and " Brain Stew / Jaded". Though it peaked at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart and was certified ...

86 (term)
Eighty-six or 86 is American English slang. In the hospitality industry, it is used to indicate that an item is no longer available, traditionally from a food or drinks establishment, or referring to a person or people who are not welcome on the premises. Its etymology is unknown, but the term seems to have been coined in the 1920s or 1930s. Etymology There are many theories about the origin of the term. Possible origins include: * Rhyming slang for nix. * Part of the jargon used by soda jerks. Walter Winchell wrote about this in 1933, in his syndicated ''On Broadway'' column. In this, the code 13 meant that a boss was around, 81 was a glass of water and 86 meant "all out of it". Professor Harold Bentley of Columbia University studied soda jerk jargon and reported other numeric codes such as 95 for a customer leaving without paying. * Author Jef Klein theorized that the bar Chumley's at 86 Bedford Street in the West Village of Lower Manhattan was the source. His book '' ...
