(; ) is a German rock band from Berlin. It consists of guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B and bass player Rodrigo González (musician), Rodrigo González. All three write and perform their songs. The band has released 14 studio albums. History 1982–1985: Early years, debut album were formed in West Berlin in 1982 by Jan Vetter (alias Farin Urlaub, a pun on the expression "Fahr' in Urlaub", meaning "Go on vacation"), Dirk Felsenheimer (alias Bela B, referring to Dracula actor Bela Lugosi) and bassist Hans Runge, alias . Bela and Farin had previously played together in the Punk rock, punk band Soilent Grün, established in 1979 and named after the film ''Soylent Green''. Rodrigo "Rod" Andrés González EspÃndola (born 19 May 1968) is a Chilean-born German musician known as the bassist and one of the singers of German rock band Die Ärzte. Early life González's parents were politically persecuted in Chile during the Augusto Pinochet, Pinochet dictatorship, and so were granted Right of asylum, asylum in Hamburg. His family initially lived there on social benefits until his father found work. He completed his ''Abitur'' (school-leaving exams) at the Gymnasium (school), Gymnasium Langenhorn. He has an older sister, Claudia, who also works as a musician (Universal González). As a teenager, González was a member of the band Die Erben. Jan Vetter (born 27 October 1963), better known as Farin Urlaub. (from the German ''Fahr in Urlaub!'', "Go on holiday!"), is a German singer, guitarist and songwriter. He is best known as the guitarist/vocalist for punk rock band . He has also been a solo artist since 2001, touring with his band, the Farin Urlaub Racing Team. His releases starting in 2006 are credited to the band. Early life Vetter was born on 27 October 1963 in West Berlin. Until the age of seven, he lived with his mother in a flat in Berlin's Moabit district, and then in Frohnau until he was 18.. Release The songs "Paul" and "Zu spät" were released as singles, and did not achieve that much recognition from the public. However, a live version of "Zu spät" was released as a single from the live album '' Nach uns die Sintflut'' in 1989, which became a moderate hit in Germany landing at number 25 in GfK Entertainment charts. "Zu spät" was described as a revenge song. Legacy In 1987, the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons put the songs "Claudia hat 'nen Schäferhund" and "Schlaflied" on the List of Media Harmful to Young People, with the effect that they could not be sold to minors, nor publicly advertised or displayed. ''Bravo'' (stylized in all caps) is the largest teen magazine within the German-language sphere. The first issue was published in 1956. History The founder of ''Bravo'' was columnist Peter Boenisch. The first issue was published on 26 August 1956 with thirty thousand copies printed, cost 50 Pfennig (equivalent to € in ). Marilyn Monroe's portrait graced the first published issue; the never-published dummy issue cover displayed Elvis Presley.
