4S Ranch is an Unincorporated area, unincorporated, Planned community, master-planned community in the North County (San Diego area), North County area of San Diego County, California. It is located about north of downtown San Diego and east of the Pacific Ocean, just outside the incorporated city limits of San Diego. History Del Norte opened on August 19, 2009, and is the most recent comprehensive high school to be opened in Poway Unified School District. The campus covers of land. California State Route 56
State Route 56 (SR 56) is an east–west state highway in the U.S. state of California. It runs from Interstate 5 (I-5) in the Carmel Valley neighborhood of San Diego to I-15. The eastern terminus of the highway is also the western end of the Ted Williams Parkway. SR 56 serves as an important connector between I-5 and I-15, being the only east–west freeway between SR 78 in north San Diego County, several miles away, and SR 52 near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. Rancho San Bernardo was a Mexican land grant in present-day San Diego County, California, with two square leagues given in 1842 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado and an additional two square leagues given in 1845 by Governor Pío Pico to José Francisco Snook. The grant was between present-day Escondido and Poway, and encompassed present-day Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch, San Pasqual Valley, and Lake Hodges.
