2019 European Parliament Election In Poland
On Sunday 26 May 2019, a vote was held to elect the Polish delegation to the European Parliament. Polish voters elected 52 MEPs, compared to 51 in the 2014 election. The increased number of MEPs is a result of the 2018 reapportionment of seats in the European Parliament. Following the United Kingdom's announcement, that it will participate in elections to the European Parliament on May 23, Poland will continue to be represented by 51 MEPs. The 52nd MEP will take up their mandate immediately after the UK leaves the European Union. Following the announcement of the election results, the National Electoral Commission indicated Dominik Tarczyński from Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie will take up the 52nd seat. Poland Together ( pl, Polska Razem, PR or PRZP), formally Poland Together United Right (''Polska Razem Zjednoczona Prawica''), was a conservative-liberal political party in Poland. The party was founded on 7 December 2013 by former Minister of Justice and Civic Platform member Jarosław Gowin and members of centre-right political parties Poland Comes First and Conservative People's Party. Dominik Tarczyński
Dominik Tarczyński (born March 27, 1979, in Lublin) is a Polish politician and journalist who was previously a member of the Sejm and has been a member of the European Parliament since 2020. Biography From 2003 to 2008, he was a community animator at London's Westminster Cathedral, and hosted a radio broadcast of Christian music. He was a lay assistant to one of the British exorcists. From January 23, 2009, to February 1, 2010, he was the director of TVP3 Kielce; later, he was employed as the deputy director for operation in the IT and Telecommunications Center of TVP. He also took up journalistic activity in the pages of "Gazeta Polska" and created documentary films devoted, among other topics, to the activities of exorcists. The 2019 European Parliament election was the United Kingdom's component of the 2019 European Parliament election, held on Thursday 23 May 2019 and the results were announced on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 May 2019, after all the other EU countries had voted. Apportionment In The European Parliament
The apportionment of seats within the European Parliament to each member state of the European Union is set out by the EU treaties. According to European Union treaties, the distribution of seats is " degressively proportional" to the population of the member states, with negotiations and agreements between member states playing a role. Thus the allocation of seats is not strictly proportional to the size of a state's population, nor does it reflect any other automatically triggered or fixed mathematical formula. The process can be compared to the composition of the electoral college used to elect the President of the United States of America in that, ''pro rata'', the smaller state received more places in the electoral college than the more populous states.
