2014 IRB Nations Cup
The 2014 IRB Nations Cup was the ninth edition of the international rugby union tournament, a competition created by the International Rugby Board. For the eighth time in a row, it was held in Bucharest, Romania. It was played between 13 and 22 June and ran alongside the 2014 IRB Tbilisi Cup in Georgia. were joined by , Emerging Ireland and ENC side and defended the title they won in 2012 and 2013. All of the fixtures were played at the 5,000 capacity Stadionul Naţional de Rugby, the home stadium for the hosts . The Emerging Ireland team won the title for the first time and Robin Copeland was named as the player of the tournament. Emerging Ireland
Emerging Ireland is an Irish rugby union team that represents Ireland in the World Rugby Nations Cup. History 2013 Tbilisi Cup The team was created to offer Tier 1 level opposition for Tier 2 sides in the IRB Tbilisi Cup, held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Allen Clarke, Ian Costello and Joey Miles managed the team, with Rhys Ruddock as captain. In Emerging Ireland's opening match, they faced hosts Georgia. This match was won by the Emerging side 20–15 in their first ever game. In their second match, South Africa President's XV beat Emerging Ireland 19–8, before Emerging Ireland beat Uruguay 42–33 on 16 June 2013 to secure a second-place finish in the tournament. The squad for the tournament was named on 19 May 2013. The initial squad featured four internationally capped players; Michael Bent, Seán Cronin, Ian Keatley and Rhys Ruddock the captain. Eastern European Time (EET) is one of the names of UTC+02:00 time zone, 2 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. The zone uses daylight saving time, so that it uses UTC+03:00 during the summer. Dominic Ryan
Dominic Ryan (born 28 March 1990) is an Irish former professional rugby union player who last played for Leicester Tigers. He was a back row player, playing at predominantly openside or blindside flanker. During his first year in the Leinster academy, Ryan made his senior debut for the province in the Celtic League in late 2009. He made his first appearance in the Heineken Cup against Saracens in January 2011, scoring two tries. Ryan was selected as part of the Ireland Wolfhounds squad to face Scotland A and England Saxons, his first call-up to senior international duty. Stuart McCloskey
Stuart McCloskey (born 6 August 1992) is an Irish professional rugby union player who plays centre for Ulster Rugby, and has six caps for Ireland. He has been Ulster's player of the year twice, and has twice been named on the Pro14 Dream Team. He is described as "a true cornerstone of this Ulster team, providing a rounded skillset at inside centre that includes strong ball-carrying, offloading, short and long passing, a breakdown threat, defensive communication, and even attacking kicking." Eoin Griffin
Eoin Griffin (Irish name: ''Eoghan Ó Griofa''; born 18 September 1990) is a former professional rugby union player from Ireland. He primarily played as a centre, and played both outside and inside channels. Griffin last played for Connacht in the Pro14. Grifin came through Connacht's academy and played for the senior side from 2009 to 2014, before moving to London Irish. After two seasons with the exiles, he returned to Connacht ahead of the 2016–17 season. Johne Murphy (; born John Edmund Murphy 10 November 1984) is a retired Irish rugby union player who played wing, fullback or centre. On 27 August 2015, Murphy announced his retirement from rugby. Family Murphy was born John Edmund Murphy to John and Mary Murphy of Rathangan, County Kildare. He was named after his father and uncle Edmund. John Joseph Hanrahan (born 27 July 1992) is an Irish rugby union player who plays for Welsh club Dragons in the United Rugby Championship. Paul Marshall (rugby Union)
Paul Marshall (born 26 July 1985) is a former Irish rugby union player who was educated at Methodist College Belfast. Ulster Paul Joined Ulster at the beginning of the 2006/2007 on a full contract having graduated from the Ulster Academy. His first senior game was against Newport Gwent Dragons on November 9, 2006, coming on as a substitute. He used to play scrum-half for Ulster and is a former captain of the Ulster U21 rugby team. Tommy O'Donnell (born 21 May 1987) is an Irish former rugby union player, who spent his entire career with his native province of Munster, whilst also earning 13 international caps for Ireland. After retiring in 2021, O'Donnell moved into coaching and joined Munster's academy staff in 2022.
