2013–14 Russian Cup
The 2013–14 Russian Cup, known as the 2013–14 Pirelli–Russian Football Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 22nd season of the Russian football knockout tournament since the dissolution of Soviet Union. The competition started on 7 July 2013. The cup champion wins a spot in the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League play-off round. First round The games were played on 7, 10, 11, 12 & 16 July 2013. Second round The games were played on 22, 26, 30 & 31 July 2013. Third round The games were played on 10, 11, 13, 17 & 21 August 2013. Fourth round The 13 winners from the third round and the 19 FNL teams entered this round. The matches were played on 31 August and 1 September 2013. Fifth round Teams from the Russian Football Premier League enter at this stage of the competition. Round of 16 The 16 winners from the fifth round enter. FC Rostov
FC Rostov (russian: link=no, Футбольный клуб Ростов) is a Russian professional football club based in Rostov-on-Don, Rostov Oblast. The club are members of the Russian Premier League, and play at the Rostov Arena. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Club Association suspended the team. History 1930-1989 The club was established on 10 May 1930, and was initially named Selmashstroy (Сельмашстрой). They were renamed Selmash in 1936 and Traktor in 1941. In 1950, the club joined the South Zone of the Azov-Don group of the Russian SFSR Championship. The following season they were placed in Group B of the championship. After finishing first in their group, they played in Group A in 1952. FC Olimpia Volgograd (russian: «Олимпия» (Волгоград)) is a Russian football team from the large city of Volgograd. They are the second- or third-largest club in the city after the famous Rotor Volgograd. History From their founding in 1989 until 1997, the club participated in various youth leagues. Some time between 1993 and 1994 the Volgograd native Leonid Slutsky, future coach of the Russian national team, joined the training staff. Among the Olimpia youth players developed under Slutsky were Denis Kolodin, Roman Adamov, Andrei Bochkov, Maksim Burchenko and Aleksei Zhdanov, all of whom went on to play in the Russian Premier League. FC Tosno (russian: ФК Тосно) was a professional Russian football club based in Tosno. On 6 May 2017, Tosno won promotion to the 2017–18 Russian Premier League for the first time after securing second place in the Russian National Football League. They were relegated after one season at the top level. On 9 June 2018 it was announced that FC Tosno was dissolved because of financial problems. Znamya Truda is a Russian football club from Orekhovo-Zuevo, Moscow Oblast. The club is most noted because they are the oldest now-playing club in Russia, founded in 1909. They currently play in the FNL 2. The club's finest hour came in 1962 when they reached the final of the USSR Cup. History The club was founded in the village of Orekhovo which was to join with Zuevo and Nikolskoye to form Orekhovo-Zuyevo in 1917. In the 2017–18 season, Znamya Truda finished last in its group, losing 24 matches out of 26. FC Kolomna (russian: ФК «Коломна») is a Russian football team from Kolomna. It was founded in 1906, from a merger of two Kolomna teams, FC Oka and FC Avangard-Kortek.
