2013 Malaysia FAM League
The 2013 Malaysia FAM League (referred to as the FAM League) is the 61st season of the FAM League since its establishment in 1952. The league is currently the third level football league in Malaysia. The season began on 17 February 2013. Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam FC are the defending champions, having won their first league title the previous season. Penang won the league for the 5th time in the league history after beating Shahzan Muda on 2 June 2013. This is the first FAM League title Penang has won since 1957. PBAPP FC, another team from Penang, also were promoted after capturing second place. Teams The following teams participated in the 2013 Malaysia FAM League. Penang FA
Penang Football Club (or simply known as Penang FC) is a Malaysian professional football club based in George Town, Penang, that competes in the Malaysia Super League. Unofficially founded in 1920, officially as Football Association of Penang on 21 October 1921, the club represents the state of Penang in football tournaments. The team has traditionally worn a blue home kit. They have a long-standing rivalry with Kedah; the two teams from the northern region of Malaysia being engaged in what has been collectively known as the ''"Northern Region Derby"''. Harimau Muda C
Harimau Muda C is the team name for the former Malaysia national under-19 club. Football Association of Malaysia managed the Malaysia U-19 team as a football club that took part in Malaysia FAM League from 2013 season. The C team is for under-19 players, while Harimau Muda B players are between 18 and 21 and Harimau Muda A players are between 20 and 22. The team is aimed at developing Malaysian youth players and will not recruit any foreign nationals in its squad. By entering Harimau Muda C in domestic competitions, FAM hopes to expose top Malaysia under-19 players to competitive matches, thus helping them prepare for international tournaments. As such, Harimau Muda C is one of a small number of football clubs in the world which places an age-restrictions on team members while playing in a national professional league.
