2025–26 Sporting CP Season
The 2025–26 season will be the 133rd season in the history of Sporting CP, and the club's 92nd consecutive season in the top flight of Portuguese football. In addition to the domestic league, the club is participating in this season's editions of the Taça de Portugal, the Taça da Liga, the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, and the UEFA Champions League. Frederico Varandas
Frederico Nuno Faro Varandas (born 19 September 1979) is a Portuguese sports executive, medical doctor and former commissioned Captain (armed forces), military captain of the Portuguese Army, who has been the president of Sporting Clube de Portugal, Sporting CP since 2018. With a presidency initially marked by contestation, the Varandas tenure is since 2025 the most titled in the club's history, as well as characterized by a discreet presidential position and the renewal of the Alvalade Stadium. Association football (), the most popular sport in Portugal, has a long and storied history in the country, following its introduction in 1875 in cities such as Funchal, Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra by English merchants and Portuguese students arriving back home from studying in England. Geny Cipriano Catamo (born 26 January 2001) is a Mozambican professional footballer who plays as a winger or wing-back for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Mozambique national team. Club career Maxaquene and Black Bulls In Mozambique, he started his football training in CD Maxaquene, becoming a youth international for Mozambique, and then he moved on to the Black Bulls youth academy, another club from Maputo. Maximiliano Javier Araújo Vilches (born 15 February 2000), known as Maxi Araújo, is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a left-winger or left-back for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Uruguay national team. Conrad Harder Weibel Schandorf (born 7 April 2005) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Denmark national team. Francisco António Machado Mota de Castro Trincão (; born 29 December 1999) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a winger for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team.
