2025–26 Serie C
The 2025–26 Serie C, officially known as Serie C NOW for sponsorship, will be the twelfth season of the unified Serie C division, the third tier of the Italian football league system. Changes The league will be composed of 60 teams, geographically divided into three groups. The group composition will be decided and formalized by the Serie C league committee between July and August. Inter Milan have shown interest in adding their U23 team, but the change requires the approval of the league and an available spot. The Serie C (), officially known as Serie C NOW for sponsorship purposes, is the third-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie B and Serie A. The Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico (Lega Pro) is the governing body that operates the Serie C. The unification of the Lega Pro Prima Divisione and the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione as Lega Pro Divisione Unica (often also abbreviated as Lega Pro) in 2014 reintroduced the format of the original Serie C that existed between 1935 and 1978 (before the split into Serie C1 and Serie C2). In May 2017, the Lega Pro assembly unanimously approved renaming the competition to its original name, Serie C. AS Sambenedettese
A.S. Sambenedettese S.r.l. is an Italian association football club, based in San Benedetto del Tronto, Marche. Sambenedettese currently plays in Serie D. History Foundation The original club was founded in 1923 as ''U.S. Sambenedettese''. In 1956, the club was first promoted to Serie B, a division where they spent a total of 21 seasons (the last time of which was in 1989).
