2025–26 Hannover 96 Season
The 2025–26 Hannover 96 season will be the 130th season in the football club's history and 30th overall and seventh consecutive season in the second flight of German football, the 2. Bundesliga. Hannover 96 will also participate in this season's edition of the domestic cup, the DFB-Pokal. This is the 67th season for Hannover in the Heinz von Heiden Arena, located in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. Hannoverscher Sportverein von 1896, commonly referred to as Hannover 96 (), is a German professional association football, football club based in the city of Hanover, Lower Saxony. They played in the Bundesliga for a total of 30 years between 1964 and 2019 and currently play in the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier in the German football league system, having been relegated from the Bundesliga, Germany's first tier, after finishing 17th in the 2018–19 Bundesliga, 2018–19 season. Hannover 96 was founded in 1896. Hannover have won two List of German football champions, German championships and one DFB-Pokal. Hannover's stadium is the Niedersachsenstadion, HDI-Arena. Franz Roggow (born 14 July 2002) is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hannover 96. Early life Roggow joined the youth academy of German side Energie Cottbus at the age of twelve. He attended Julius-Leber-Schule in Germany. Career Roggow started his career with German side FC St. Pauli. He was regarded as one of the club's most promising prospects. Benedikt Pichler (born 20 July 1997) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Hannover 96. Career Pichler was born in Salzburg, Austria, and began his youth career with local club USK Gneiss. In 2010, he joined the academy of the USK Anif. Ahead of the 2014–15 season, he moved to the amateurs of Grödig, making his debut in the Salzburger Liga in August 2014, when he was substituted for Marinko Sorda in the 58th minute on the first matchday of that season against his former side USK Anif. Mustapha Bundu
Mustapha Bundu Shong Hames (born 28 February 1997) is a Sierra Leonean professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Hannover 96 and the Sierra Leone national team. Born in Freetown, Bundu started playing youth football for the Craig Bellamy Academy before moving to the United Kingdom to play for Hartpury College. He then went on to appear for lower league sides Newquay and Hereford. In 2016, Bundu signed for Danish Superliga club AGF after a successful trial.
