2025–26 Champions Hockey League
The 2025–26 Champions Hockey League will be the 11th season of the Champions Hockey League, a European ice hockey tournament. The tournament will be competed by 24 teams, with qualification being on sporting merits only. Apart from the reigning champion, the six founding leagues will be represented by three teams each, while five "challenge leagues" will be represented by one team each. Swiss team ZSC Lions are the title holders having won their first Champions Hockey League title, defeating Swedish team Färjestad BK 2–1 in the 2025 final. Team allocation A total of 24 teams from different European first-tier leagues are scheduled to participate in the league. Besides the title holders ZSC Lions, 18 teams from the six founding leagues, as well as the national champions from Denmark, France, Norway, Poland and the United Kingdom will participate. Lausanne HC
Lausanne Hockey Club is an ice hockey team based in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland, which competes in the National League (NL). During the 2004–05 NHL lockout, the HC Lausanne signed National Hockey League players Martin St. Louis and Andy Roach. The team plays its home games in the 10,000-seat Vaudoise Aréna. History Founded in 1922, the Lausanne Hockey Club is one of the oldest clubs in Switzerland. They played for sixteen years at Chalet-à-Gobet, in the city heights. Bremerhaven
Bremerhaven (; ) is a city on the east bank of the Weser estuary in northern Germany. It forms an exclave of the Bremen (state), city-state of Bremen. The Geeste (river), River Geeste flows through the city before emptying into the Weser. Bremerhaven was founded in 1827 as a seaport for Bremen, and it remains one of the busiest ports in the country. The Fischtown Pinguins, also known as REV Bremerhaven, are a professional ice hockey team based in Bremerhaven, Germany. From 2004 to 2016 the team played at the second tier of ice hockey in Germany, known as the 2nd Bundesliga until the 2012–13 season and, from the 2013–14 season onward, as the DEL2. ERC Ingolstadt (''Eishockey-und-Rollschuh club'', ) is a German professional ice hockey club that plays in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Commonly known as the Panthers, the team plays its home games at the Saturn Arena in Ingolstadt. 2024–25 DEL Season
The 2024–25 Deutsche Eishockey Liga season was the 31st season since the founding of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. It started on 19 September 2024. Eisbären Berlin were the defending champions and captured the title again with a win over the Kölner Haie. The Augsburger Panther were originally relegated last year, but kept their place since the winning team from the second division did not apply for a license. Format The teams played a double round-robin for 52 games each. After the regular season, places one to six were qualified for the playoffs while place seven to ten played in the pre-playoffs. The playoffs were played in a best of seven mode. The last team from the regular season was relegated to DEL2. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called Penny (supermarket), PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga) (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a professional ice hockey league in Germany and the highest division in German ice hockey. Founded in 1994, it was formed as a replacement for the Eishockey-Bundesliga and became the new top-tier league in Germany as a result.
