2025–26 Basketball Champions League
The 2025–26 Basketball Champions League will be the 10th season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European professional basketball competition for clubs launched by FIBA. Unicaja are the defending champions. Team allocation A total of 53 teams from 30 of the 50 FIBA Europe member associations are set to participate in the 2025–26 Basketball Champions League. The country ranking based on the country coefficients is used to determine the number of participating teams for each country: *All countries, if they entered, each have at least one team qualify. *The winners of the 2024–25 Basketball Champions League are given an additional entry if they do not qualify for the 2025–26 Basketball Champions League through their domestic league. *The organiser may grant access to the League through the attribution of up to 4 invitations (wild cards) to the Regular Season or to the Qualification Rounds. *If one or more clubs do not use their right to participate in the Bas ...

Basketball Champions League
The Basketball Champions League (BCL), also commonly known as the FIBA Champions League, is an annual professional basketball competition for European sports club, clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the European professional club basketball system, top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition mostly based on performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be Wild card (sports), wildcarded. Each season consists of 32 teams. The inaugural season was held in 2016–17 Basketball Champions League, 2016–17 and since then five different clubs won the competition. 2024–25 LKL Season
The 2024–25 Lietuvos krepšinio lyga season, also called Betsafe–LKL for sponsorship reasons, was the 32nd season of the top-tier level professional basketball league of Lithuania, the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). Rytas were defending champions, however, they finished as a runners-up, losing finals series to eventual champions Žalgiris, who won their 25th champioship. Teams 10 teams participated in the 2024–25 season. Despite the announcement that no team will be relegated after 2023–24 due to Gargždai bankruptcy, last place finishers Pieno žvaigždės decided to withdraw from the league due to struggles to meet league's budget requirements. The 2024–25 LBA season was the 103rd season of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), the men's top tier professional basketball division of the Italian basketball league system. It began on September 29, 2024. Teams Source: Regular season In the regular season, teams play against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The matchdays are from 28 September 2024 to 11 May 2025. Points scored in overtime counts toward tiebreakers. Tiebreakers are based on articule 62 of Regolamento Esecutivo Gare.
