2025 Union Omaha Season
The 2025 Union Omaha season is the sixth season in the soccer team's history, all of which have been in USL League One in the third division of American soccer. Union Omaha will play their home games at Werner Park, located in Papillion, Nebraska, United States. They are the reigning title holders of both the USL League One Players' Shield and the USL League One Cup, having beaten Spokane Velocity in the previous year's final. Union Omaha will also be competing in the USL Cup (known as the USL Jägermeister Cup for sponsorship reasons) and the U.S. Open Cup. Union Omaha
Union Omaha Soccer Club is an American professional association football, soccer team based in Omaha, Nebraska. Nicknamed the Owls, the team made its debut in USL League One (USL1) in 2020. In the clubs first five seasons, the Owls finished in first place in the league three times and defeated two MLS sides during the 2022 U.S. Open Cup. Along with those achievements, Union Omaha won the league championship in just the second season of the club's existence and again in 2024. History In 2019, USL1 awarded a franchise to Alliance Omaha Soccer Holdings to begin play in the 2020 USL League One season, 2020 season. KETV (channel 7) is a television station in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, affiliated with ABC. The station is owned by Hearst Television, and has studios on 10th Street in the historic Burlington Station, which carries the nickname of 7 Burlington Station. Isidro "Chelo" Martinez (born March 15, 1997) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder for USL League One club Union Omaha. Career Youth and college Martinez attended Simon Rivera High School in Brownsville, Texas, Brownsville, Texas. His senior year he led the Raiders to an undefeated 28-0-0 record on their way to the University Interscholastic League, UIL 6A Texas state championship. Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC is an American professional soccer team based in Windsor, Colorado. The club was founded in 2021, and made its competitive debut in 2022. The team is owned by the Katofsky family and the Future Legends ownership group. Russell Shealy (born September 26, 1999) is an American professional soccer player for Union Omaha in USL League One. Playing career Russell Shealy was born to Dr. Jim Shealy and Maureen Shealy in Cartersville, Georgia and attended Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. During high school, he played for the Concorde Fire soccer club, Atlanta United Academy (Atlanta United 2), and US Youth Soccer. Brent Kallman (born October 4, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for USL League One club Union Omaha. Kallman formerly played for Minnesota United when the team competed in the North American Soccer League and MLS. Career Kallman graduated from Woodbury High School in Woodbury, Minnesota.
