2025 USL League One Season
The 2025 USL League One season is the seventh season of USL League One, a professional men's soccer league in the third tier of the United States league system. Fourteen teams are participating in the 2025 season. Five teams, AV Alta FC, FC Naples, Portland Hearts of Pine, Texoma FC, and Westchester SC, joined as expansion franchises. Lexington SC left to join USL Championship, Central Valley Fuego FC voluntarily left the league. The franchise agreement for the Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC was terminated when its owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. NoCo and Fuego’s U23 team ended up in The League for Clubs. The regular season was originally scheduled to start on March 8, though it actually started a day earlier on March 7. USL League One
USL League One (USL1) is a professional men's association football, soccer league in the United States that had its inaugural season in 2019 USL League One season, 2019. The United States soccer league system, Division III league is operated by the United Soccer League, the same group that operates the Division II USL Championship and other leagues. the league has 14 teams who play 30 regular season games, followed by playoffs. United States Soccer League System
The United States soccer league system is a series of professional and amateur soccer leagues based, in whole or in part, in the United States. Although sometimes called the American soccer pyramid, teams and leagues are not linked by a system of promotion and relegation as is common in other countries. Instead, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF or U.S. Soccer) defines professional leagues in three levels, called divisions, with all other leagues sanctioned by the USSF not having an official designated level or division. For practical and historical reasons, some teams from Bermuda, Canada, and Puerto Rico (considered a separate country by FIFA) can also compete in these leagues. Forward Madison FC
Forward Madison FC is an American professional soccer team based in Madison, Wisconsin. The team was founded in 2018, and played its inaugural season in 2019. The team competes in USL League One, the third division of the United States soccer league system and plays their home matches at Breese Stevens Field. History In January 2018, it was announced that Big Top Events, which owns the Madison Mallards and has operated Breese Stevens Field since 2015, were planning to bring a soccer franchise to Madison which would begin in early 2019. Chattanooga Red Wolves SC is an American professional soccer club based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They are a founding member of USL League One in the third division of American men's soccer. Charlotte Independence
Charlotte Independence is an American soccer team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, that plays in the USL League One, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid. The Independence currently play their home games at American Legion Memorial Stadium in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. United Soccer League
The United Soccer League (USL) is an organizer of various professional and amateur soccer leagues in the United States league system. It currently organizes its Championship, League One, and League Two for men, its Super League and W League for women, and the USL Academy and USL Youth for youth players. It also organizes the USL Cup, a league cup competition for its professional men's clubs. The USL began in 1986 as a men's indoor soccer minor league, before branching out into outdoor soccer in 1989. The USL Cup is an annual soccer competition in men's domestic American soccer. The USL Cup is currently known as the USL Jägermeister Cup after its title sponsor, Jägermeister. The competition is open to all clubs in USL Championship and USL League One. History The first USL Cup featured teams exclusively in USL League One; however, USL already intended to expand the cup beyond just that league. The League For Clubs
The League for Clubs is an American men's soccer league. Formed in 2024, the League For Clubs is a partnership between the Women's Premier Soccer League and existing men's clubs, affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). The inaugural season began in March 2025. Background The League for Clubs was created to better build squads, community, and the game. It is structured to benefit the members by limiting conference geographical size, improved production, and flexibility. Central Valley Fuego FC, also known as CV Fuego FC or simply Fuego FC, is an American professional soccer team based in Fresno, California. The team was founded in 2020, and played its inaugural season in 2022.
