Defending champion Sebastián Báez defeated Alexandre Müller in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2025 Rio Open. It was his seventh ATP Tour title. Báez was the first player to successfully defend the title and first to win multiple titles since the tournament's inception in 2014. The quarterfinal match between Camilo Ugo Carabelli and Jaime Faria marked the second all-lucky loser quarterfinal in ATP Tour history (since 1990), after Max Purcell and Andreas Seppi at the 2021 Eastbourne International – Men's singles, 2021 Eastbourne International. Sebastián Báez
Sebastián Báez (; born 28 December 2000) is an Argentine professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 18, achieved on 24 June 2024 and a doubles ranking of world No. 189, achieved on 29 July 2024. Báez has won seven ATP singles titles. He is currently the No. 2 player from Argentina. Career Junior Báez became the top-ranked junior in the ITF combined ranking on 12 March 2018. 2021: ATP debut, six Challenger titles, NextGen finals & top 100 Báez made his ATP debut at the 2021 Chile Open where he lost to 2019 Junior French Open champion Holger Rune in straight sets. He earned his first tour-level win at the 2021 Hamburg European Open, where he defeated Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the first round.
