2025 NCAA Division I Softball Season
The 2025 NCAA Division I softball season, play of college softball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I (NCAA), Division I level, began in February 2025. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2025 NCAA Division I softball tournament and 2025 Women's College World Series. The Women's College World Series, consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Devon Park (stadium), Devon Park, ended in June 2025. 2024 Oklahoma Sooners Softball Team
The 2024 Oklahoma Sooners softball team was an American college softball team that represents the University of Oklahoma during the 2024 NCAA Division I softball season. The Sooners were led by Patty Gasso in her thirtieth season, and played their home games at Love's Field as a member of the Big 12 Conference. This was the Sooners' first season at Love's Field. The Sooners won the 2024 Women's College World Series, becoming the first team in college softball history to Three-peat, four-peat. This season was the team's last as members of the Big 12 Conference before joining the Southeastern Conference, SEC on July 1, 2024. The Mercyhurst Lakers, representing Mercyhurst University which is located in Erie, Pennsylvania, are composed of 24 teams in intercollegiate athletics. The Lakers compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Northeast Conference for most sports. The Texas Longhorns softball team represents The University of Texas at Austin in NCAA Division I intercollegiate softball competition. The Longhorns competed in the Big 12 Conference through the 2024 season and moved to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) on July 1, 2024. California Golden Bears Softball
The California Golden Bears softball team is the college softball team representing the University of California, Berkeley in NCAA Division I. The team plays its home games at Levine-Fricke Field, which is located in Strawberry Canyon near California Memorial Stadium. While the stadium was built in 1995, it is not up to the standards of the NCAA, and therefore cannot host NCAA tournament games. California softball is one of the most consistently successful programs at the school, having appeared in 28 consecutive NCAA tournaments from 1986 through 2013, and winning a national championship in 2002. Arizona State Sun Devils Softball
The Arizona State Sun Devils softball team represents Arizona State University in NCAA Division I College softball. The team competes in the Big 12 Conference, and plays its home games at Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. Clint Myers, former head coach of the Sun Devils, guided the team to the Women's College World Series in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013. The Arizona Wildcats softball team represents the University of Arizona in NCAA Division I Softball. Having claimed eight national championships (second only to UCLA Bruins softball, UCLA), the team is one of the most successful in the history of the sport.
