2024–25 ŠK Slovan Bratislava Season
The 2024–25 season is the 106th season in the history of ŠK Slovan Bratislava, and the club's 19th consecutive season in Slovak First Football League. In addition to the domestic league, the team is scheduled to participate in the Slovak Cup and the UEFA Champions League after winning the Slovak League title for the sixth time in a row. Vladimír Weiss (footballer, Born 1964)
Vladimír Weiss (born 22 September 1964) is a Slovak football coach and former player who serves as the coach of Slovan Bratislava. He is one of a small number of people to have appeared as a player and a coach at a FIFA World Cup. Weiss played in the Czechoslovak First League during the 1980s and start of the 1990s until its dissolution, making over 100 league appearances for Inter Bratislava. During this period, he played for Czechoslovakia, making 19 appearances and scoring one goal whilst participating at the 1990 FIFA World Cup as well. Following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, Weiss played for Petra Drnovice in the Czech First League, then returned to Slovakia, playing for Košice, Dunajská Streda, and Petržalka. Kevin Wimmer
Kevin Wimmer (; born 15 November 1992) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Slovan Bratislava. Wimmer began his professional career with LASK where his performances earned him a move to German club 1. FC Köln in June 2012. In the 2013–14 season, Wimmer helped Köln set a new 2. Bundesliga record, conceding only 20 goals as they earned promotion to the Bundesliga. After a solid first season in the German top flight he moved to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £4.3 million. However his playing time under Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane was restricted due to the form of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen. FC Locomotive Tbilisi
FC Locomotive Tbilisi, commonly referred to as Lokomotivi or simply Loco, is a Georgian professional football club based Tbilisi. The club competes in the Erovnuli Liga 2, the second tier of Georgian football. During the existence of the USSR the club was a part of the Lokomotiv Voluntary Sports Society. The club has strong connections with the Georgian Railways. History Locomotive was founded on 14 August 1936 as a part of Lokomotiv sports society. The club won Georgian championship in 1937, which gave them the permission to participate in USSR Top League. Guram Kashia () ( ka, გურამ კაშია, tr, ; born 4 July 1987) is a Georgian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a centre-back for Niké Liga club ŠK Slovan Bratislava, Slovan Bratislava and captain (association football), captains the Georgia national football team, Georgia national team.
