2024–25 Wessex Football League
The 2024–25 Wessex Football League season is the 39th in the history of the Wessex Football League since its establishment in 1986. The league consists of two divisions: the Premier Division and Division One. The constitution was announced on 17 May 2024. The Premier Division (step 5) promotes two clubs; one as champions and one via a four-team play-off. Wessex Football League
The Wessex Football League, known as the Velocity Wessex Football League for sponsorship reasons, is an English regional men's Association football, football league in southern England. Its members are primarily from Hampshire and Dorset, but clubs from adjoining counties such as Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey, and the Isle of Wight are also eligible. The Premier Division is one of the sixteen recognised leagues to form the ninth level of the English football league system (known as Step 5 of the National League System), and Division One is one of seventeen recognised leagues at level 10 (Step 6). Champions of the Wessex League who meet the relevant ground and financial requirements are eligible for promotion to the Southern Football League, Southern League Division One South or Isthmian League Division One South Central. Jake Samuel Thomson (born 12 May 1989) is a semi-professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for AFC Stoneham. Before playing in non-League football, Thomson played in the Championship for Southampton. A youth international footballer for England, he played at senior international level for Trinidad and Tobago. Club career Thomson began his career at Southampton in 2005 and was promoted to the first team in 2008, making his debut on 9 August 2008 against Cardiff City in the Football League Championship. The 2025–26 season is the 111th season of the Isthmian League, which is an English football competition featuring semi-professional and amateur clubs from London, East and South East England. The league operates four divisions, the Premier Division at Step 3 and three divisions, North, South Central and South East at Step 4 of the National League System. This was the sixth season since the former South Division was subdivided into the South Central and South East divisions. The league is also known as the Pitching In League under a sponsorship deal with Entain, formerly GVC Holdings. Blackfield is a collaborative music project by the English musician and founder of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, and Israeli rock musician Aviv Geffen. Together, six albums have been released under the moniker. Cowes () is an English seaport town and civil parish on the Isle of Wight.
