2024–25 Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Season
The 2024–25 season was the 143rd in the history of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, the club's 47th consecutive season in the top flight of English football and the 33rd consecutive season in the Premier League. In addition to the domestic league, the club participated in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Having finished fifth in the table the previous season, Spurs also qualified for the UEFA Europa League. This was also the second and final season in charge for Spurs Head Coach Ange Postecoglou. On 21 May 2025, Spurs secured a 1–0 victory over fellow Premier League side Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final, clinching their first major trophy in 17 years since the 2008 League Cup. Qarabağ Futbol Klubu () is an Azerbaijani professional football club that competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top flight of Azerbaijani football. The club originates from Aghdam in the Karabakh ( Azerbaijani: ''Qarabağ'') region, but has not played in its hometown since 1993 due to the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. 2010 UEFA Europa League Final
The 2010 UEFA Europa League final was the final match of the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League, the first season of the revamped European football competition formerly known as the UEFA Cup. Played at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany, on 12 May 2010, the match was won by Spain's Atlético Madrid, who, after extra time, beat England's Fulham 2–1. Simon Davies (born 23 October 1979) is a Welsh former professional footballer who played as a winger. Davies started his career at Peterborough United before playing for Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Fulham, earning a runner-up medal during the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League with Fulham. Davies made more than 350 appearances at senior club level in England, along with earning 58 caps for the Welsh national team. He was most recently the assistant manager of Crawley Town. Pape Matar Sarr (; born 14 September 2002) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Tottenham Hotspur and the Senegal national team. Club career Metz Pape Matar Sarr made his professional debut with Génération Foot in his native country of Senegal, before signing a five-year contract with Ligue 1 side Metz on 15 September 2020. The 2025 UEFA Europa League final was the final match of the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League, the 54th season of Europe's secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 16th season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. English Football League System
The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing.
