2024–25 Toronto Maple Leafs Season
The 2024–25 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the franchise's 108th season (107th season of play) in the National Hockey League. The Maple Leafs currently hold the longest active playoff appearance streak, making the playoffs every year since 2017 after the Boston Bruins (previously tied with them for the streak) failed to qualify for the 2025 playoffs. Craig Berube was hired as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs on May 17, 2024, replacing Sheldon Keefe after their first round exit in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs. On April 2, the ECHL announced that they had terminated the membership of the Leafs' affiliate, the Newfoundland Growlers, in the ECHL. Atlantic Division (NHL)
The Atlantic Division is a name used by the National Hockey League to describe a division of teams in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. The original Atlantic Division, the predecessor of which was the Patrick Division, was formed in 1993 as part of the Eastern Conference in a league realignment. As part of a 2013 realignment, the entirety of the former Atlantic Division was realigned into the Metropolitan Division. Anthony Stolarz
Anthony Stolarz (born January 20, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers. Born in Edison, New Jersey, and raised in Jackson Township, Stolarz and his brother Todd played junior ice hockey within the New Jersey Devils organization. After playing two seasons with Jackson Memorial High School and one season with the New Jersey Hitmen of the Empire Junior Hockey League, Stolarz moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to play with the Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League. The 2024–25 Ottawa Senators season was the 33rd season of the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Senators entered the season with a new coaching staff. It was their first winning season since the 2016–17 season. The 1999–2000 NHL season was the 83rd regular season of the National Hockey League. With the addition of the expansion Atlanta Thrashers, 28 teams each played 82 games. This was the first season played in which teams were awarded a point for an overtime loss. Sheldon Keefe (born September 17, 1980) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the second round, 47th overall, by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He has also served as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as for their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, guiding the latter to their first Calder Cup championship in 2018.
