2024–25 Sydney FC Season
The 2024–25 season is Sydney Football Club's 20th season in the A-League Men. In addition to the domestic league, Sydney FC participated in the Australia Cup as defending champions, and the AFC Champions League Two for the first time. This was the first season since 2018–19 without former captain Luke Brattan, who departed the club at the end of his contract. Rhyan Grant replaced him as captain in the off-season. This was also the first full season in Sydney's history to not feature Steve Corica in any capacity, following his exit as manager in the previous season. Sydney Football Club, commonly known as Sydney FC, is a professional association football, soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Patryk Klimala
Patryk Klimala (born 5 August 1998) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a forward for K League 1 club FC Seoul. Club career Early career Born in Świdnica, Klimala began his career in Żarów about twelve kilometers north of Świdnica. He played for the club until 2012 when he went on to Lechia Dzierżoniów. From here, Klimala moved to Legia Warsaw's youth boarding school in 2014. Legia loaned the attacker back to his previous club Dzierżoniów from 2015 to 2016. Alexander Ian Grant (born 23 January 1994) is a professional soccer player who plays as a defender for A-League club Sydney FC. Born in England, he has represented Australia at youth level. Club career Portsmouth Grant signed a two-year scholarship with Portsmouth in July 2010. Jordan Alan Courtney-Perkins (born 6 November 2002) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a left back for Sydney FC. Aaron Gurd
Aaron Gurd (born 18 September 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for Sydney FC. Career Gurd was promoted through the Sydney FC academy ranks as a youngster, making his NPL debut in 2019. In 2022 he was signed along with Jaiden Kucharski to the A-League Men's team on a scholarship deal. Andrew James Redmayne (born 13 January 1989) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for A-League club Sydney FC and the Australia national team. Steve Corica
Stephen Christopher Corica (; born 24 March 1973) is an Australian soccer manager and former player. In December 2023, Corica was announced as the inaugural manager of A-League expansion club Auckland FC. A technically gifted and skillful attacking midfielder during his playing career, he represented Australia more than thirty times and captained Sydney FC to a domestic double. Rhyan Bert Grant (born 26 February 1991) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays for and captains A-League Men club Sydney FC and the Australia men's national soccer team, Australia national team. Luke Brattan
Nathan Luke Brattan (born 8 March 1990) is an Australian professional football player who plays as a defensive midfielder for Macarthur FC and the Australia national team. Born in England, Brattan moved to Australia at a young age, playing youth football for Rochedale Rovers and Queensland Lions before making his professional debut for Brisbane Roar.
