The 2024–25 Swiss Super League (referred to as the Credit Suisse Super League for sponsoring reasons) is the 128th season of Swiss Super League, top-tier competitive Association football, football in Switzerland and the 22nd under its current name. It is the second season featuring a new format and increased number of participants, since the beginning of the Super League era in 2003. The Super League (also known as the Credit Suisse Super League for sponsorship reasons) is a professional association football league in Switzerland and the highest level of the Swiss football league system. It has been played in its current format since the 2003–04 season. As of March 2024, the Swiss Super League is ranked 21st in Europe according to UEFA's ranking of league coefficients, which is based upon Swiss team performances in European competitions. Cornaredo Stadium
Cornaredo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Lugano, Switzerland. It is used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. It is a home ground of FC Lugano. The stadium has a capacity of 6,330. Stade De La Tuilière
Stade de la Tuilière is a football stadium in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is the current home of the football club FC Lausanne-Sport. The stadium has a capacity of 12,544. FC Lausanne-Sport planned the construction of the stadium in 2017. Their stadium at the time, Stade Olympique de la Pontaise, was multi-purpose and the club wanted new infrastructure only for association football, football. Letzigrund () is a stadium in Zurich, Switzerland, the home of the football (soccer), football clubs FC Zürich and Grasshopper Club Zürich, as well as the Sport of athletics, athletics club . The original stadium was constructed by members of FC Zürich in 1925. Grasshopper Club has been using it as their home stadium since 2007, shortly after construction of the new stadium was completed. The 2023–24 Swiss Challenge League (referred to as the Dieci Challenge League for sponsoring reasons) is the 126th season of the second tier of competitive football in Switzerland and the 21st season under its current name. Overview Teams Due to the increased number of teams in the Super League, from ten to twelve, two teams were directly promoted at the end of the last season and no teams were directly relegated, but third and last placed teams advanced to a promotion and relegation play-off, respectively. The remaining six teams were joined by the best placed eligible teams of the 2022–23 Swiss Promotion League, runners-up Stade Nyonnais and third-placed FC Baden, Stade Nyonnais and Baden returned to second tier after 11 and 17 years absence respectively.
