2024–25 Sporting CP Season
The 2024–25 season is the 132nd season in the history of Sporting CP, and the club's 91st consecutive season in the top flight of Portuguese football. In addition to the domestic league, the club is participating in this season's editions of the Taça de Portugal, the Taça da Liga, the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, and the UEFA Champions League. The club completed a domestic double for the first time since the 2001–02 season after winning the league title and the Taça de Portugal. Frederico Varandas
Frederico Nuno Faro Varandas (born 19 September 1979) is a Portuguese sports executive, medical doctor and former commissioned Captain (armed forces), military captain of the Portuguese Army, who has been the president of Sporting Clube de Portugal, Sporting CP since 2018. With a presidency initially marked by contestation, the Varandas tenure is since 2025 the most titled in the club's history, as well as characterized by a discreet presidential position and the renewal of the Alvalade Stadium. Francisco Trincão
Francisco António Machado Mota de Castro Trincão (; born 29 December 1999) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a winger for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team. He started his career with Braga B, making his debut with the first team in 2018 and winning the 2019–20 Taça da Liga in his second season with the club. In January 2020, he signed with Barcelona for a reported €31 million fee, with the deal made effective in July.
