2024–25 Saudi Pro League
The 2024–25 Saudi Pro League (known as the Roshn Saudi League for sponsorship reasons) was the 50th edition of the top-tier Saudi football league, established in 1974, and the 17th edition since it was rebranded as the Saudi Pro League in 2008. Al-Hilal are the defending champions, having won their record-extending 19th title last season. Al-Kholood, Al-Orobah, and Al-Qadsiah join as the three promoted clubs. They replaced Abha, Al-Hazem, and Al-Tai who were relegated to the 2024–25 Saudi First Division League. Overview Changes Starting this season, each club can have a squad of 25 players with ten foreigners; eight of them can be of any age, and two must be under 21 at the time of signing. 15 Saudi players of any age, and five can be called up from the youth sector if needed or wanted. The Saudi Pro League (SPL), also known as the Roshn Saudi League (RSL) for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Saudi Arabia and the highest level of the Saudi football league system. 2025–26 Saudi Pro League
The 2025–26 Saudi Pro League (known as the Roshn Saudi League for sponsorship reasons) will be the 50th edition of the top-tier Saudi football league, established in 1974, and the 18th edition since it was rebranded as the Saudi Pro League in 2008. Al-Ittihad are the defending champions, having won their 10th title last season. Al-Najma and Neom earned automatic promotion to the Pro League, while Al Hazem earned the last promotion spot through the playoffs. Al-Raed, Al-Orobah, and Al-Wehda were relegated to the 2025–26 Saudi First Division League. Teams 18 teams will compete in the league – the top 15 teams from the previous season and the 3 teams promoted from the FD League. The 2024–25 First Division League (known as the Yelo League for sponsorship reasons) is the fourth season of the Saudi First Division League after its rebrand, and the 48th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. Overview Changes On 21 June 2024, the FDL announced the introduction of a play-off system to determine the third team to be promoted to the Saudi Pro League. Teams placed between third and sixth position took part in the promotion play-offs. The fifth-placed would face the fourth, while the sixth-placed team would face the third. Abha Football Club () is a professional Saudi football club based in Abha that is currently playing in the Saudi First Division League, the second tier of Saudi football. They were first promoted to the top flight in 2005 when they finished as runners up in the First Division. However, they were relegated after just one season. The team is based in the eastern city of Khobar and their home ground is the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium.
