2024–25 Sacramento Kings Season
The 2024–25 Sacramento Kings season was the 80th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and 40th season in the city of Sacramento. The season saw the depatures of coach Mike Brown and franchise guard De'Aaron Fox, who were fired and traded respectively. Doug Christie was named the interim head coach. On April 16, the Kings were eliminated from playoff contention for the second consecutive season after they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the play-in tournament. Mike Brown (basketball, Born 1970)
Michael Burton Brown (born March 5, 1970) is an American basketball coach who most recently served as the head coach for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Brown was previously the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors. He also served as the head coach of the Nigerian national team from 2020 until 2022, coaching the team at the 2020 Olympic Games. Brown began coaching the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2005. The team reached the 2007 NBA Finals, where they were swept by the San Antonio Spurs. Brown was honored as NBA Coach of the Year for leading the Cavaliers to a team-record and league-best 66 wins in 2009. The Cavaliers won 61 games, again a league-best, in 2010. Oleksii Yuriyovych Len (; born June 16, 1993), commonly known as Alex Len (), is a Ukrainian professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before being drafted, he played two seasons for the Maryland Terrapins men's basketball, Maryland Terrapins (then in the Atlantic Coast Conference) as well as a season with BC Dnipro, Dnipro. DeMar Darnell DeRozan (born August 7, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the USC Trojans and was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 NBA draft. Nicknamed “Deebo”, DeRozan is a six-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA Team member. DeRozan is currently sixth among all active NBA players on the all-time scoring list. The 2024–25 Golden State Warriors season was the 79th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), their 63rd in the San Francisco Bay Area, and their sixth season at the Chase Center. This was the first time since the 2010–11 season that franchise mainstay Klay Thompson wasn't on the club's opening night roster, as he left to join the Dallas Mavericks over the off-season through a sign-and-trade deal. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is a professional basketball league in North America that serves as the Minor league#Basketball, developmental league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jim Moran (basketball)
James Timothy Moran (born December 3, 1978) is an American-Irish former professional basketball player and current coach who is the associate head coach of the Florida State Seminoles of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Playing career Moran was born in Syosset, New York and attended St. Dominic High School in Oyster Bay from 1993 to 1997. He played on a state championship team during his prep years. After graduating, Moran played four years of college basketball at William & Mary (1997–2001) where he scored 1,324 points and was a two-time All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Team member in his junior and senior seasons. Luke Isaac Rhoad Loucks (born April 1, 1990) is an American basketball coach and former player who currently serves as head coach of the Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
