2024–25 Magyar Kupa (women's Handball)
The 2024–25 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') is the 67th season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup handball competition. The full name of the competition is ''Török Bódog női Magyar Kupa'' in honor of the Hungarian handball legend Bódog Török. Schedule Times up to 26 October 2024 and from 30 March 2025 are CEST (UTC+2). Times from 27 October 2024 to 29 March 2025 are CET (UTC+1). Ferencvárosi TC (women's Handball)
Ferencvárosi Torna Club is a Hungarian professional women's handball team from Budapest, that is part of the multi-sports club Ferencvárosi TC. Nicknamed ''Fradi'', the team plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top level championship in Hungary. They are one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won eleven Hungarian championships and as many Hungarian cup titles. FTC also enjoy a good reputation in continental competitions: they lifted the EHF Cup Winners' Cup trophy in 1978, 2011, and 2012, and they were also crowned as the EHF Cup winners in 2006. The team also reached the finals of the EHF Champions League two times, however, they fell short in both occasions. The current name of the club is FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria due to sponsorship reasons. Érd NK is a Hungarian women's handball club from Érd, that play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I (NBI) after gained promotion in 2010. In the 2011–12 season Érd finished fourth in the NBI after losing the third place playoff series 1–2 against Siófok KC. However, it gave them access to their first European Cup, the 2012–13 Women's EHF Cup. One year later the team won its first medal in the elite after a double victory over Váci NKSE in the third place playoff. Váci NKSE are a Hungarian women's handball club from Vác, that play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Founded in 1949, the team have won promotion to the top-level championship first in 1998. Since then, they have been improved year by year and achieved their best result in 2010 by finishing third. Vasas SC is a Hungarian women's handball team. It is part of the Budapest-based multi-sports club Vasas SC. One of the most successful teams in the country, they have won the Hungarian championship a record 15 times and in 1982 they were also crowned as the European Champions Cup winners. History ''Hazena'', the early form of the modern handball, had been played across Europe for years, when, in 1926, based on the players who were fired by MTE for political reasons, ''Vas- és Fémmunkások Sport Clubja'' was founded. Until 1928 there was not an organized national championship and the hazena team participated only in several invitational tournaments. Dunaújvárosi Kohász KA or DKKA (in English: Dunaújvárosi Kohász Handball Academy), formerly known as ''Dunaferr'', is a Hungarian professional women's handball club from Dunaújváros, that plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Budaörs (; ; , or ; ) is a town in Pest County, Budapest metropolitan area, Hungary. Location A suburb of Budapest, the town lies among the Buda and Csiki hills and the Tétény plateau in the Budaörs-basin.
